The Chaffee Art Center
A 501c(3) non-profit community-based organization housed in a stunning 1890's Queen Anne Victorian mansion.
Founded in 1961 by the Rutland Area Art Association with the mission to promote the arts within the region. True to the spirit of its founders, the Chaffee continues to preserve a unique part of Rutland’s history and Vermont traditions with tours for in-state and out-of-state visitors to get a glimpse of how life was like in Vermont in the 1890’s, while providing a critical resource for the arts and art education. Committed to nurturing the essential relationship between the arts and the community through exhibition, education, and collaboration, while providing community enriching events and programs representational of a variety of arts programs. The Chaffee and the arts are a vital part of the well-being of our community, and enrich the lives of those living here, as well as those visiting.
The Paramount Theatre
The successful restoration of the Paramount Theatre was completed in February 2000 and an Opening Night Gala in March 2000 honored the artisans and contributors who made the historic project possible. The Paramount Theatre has assumed its role as an arts, cultural, and educational leader, and as a significant and valuable community resource. We're proud of what we have to offer and hope that you will support us in celebrating community and creativity.

The Carving Studio and Sculpture Center
The Carving Studio and Sculpture Center offers year-round educational programs for people of all ages. Instructional workshops in most sculpture media are taught by artist educators with a passion for creativity and technique. Artists in residence, gallery exhibitions and the unique location among historic marble quarries in West Rutland inspire participants and visitors. The CSSC is proud to partner with local business leaders to build the Rutland Sculpture Trail.
77ART
At 77ART, we see a bright future for Rutland and believe that art will take us there. By engaging socially minded artists from our community and around the world, we are building a better future for central Vermont. 77ART is a multifaceted undertaking made possible by the generous support of Mark Foley, MKF Properties, and the Rutland Community.

The MINT
More than just a shared workshop with all the tools you don't have space for or couldn't afford on your own, The MINT is a community of people sharing their knowledge, experience, and ideas in addition to tools, equipment, and workshop space. Our members include hobbyists, DIY enthusiasts, educators, students, entrepreneurs, non-profit, and for-profit companies.
The Castleton Bank Gallery
The Castleton University Bank Gallery, located in the heart of Rutland's historic downtown, showcases local and regional artists throughout the year. The Bank Gallery is also a teaching gallery where students can experience gallery work and installing of exhibits. It is a space in downtown where Castleton University nurtures arts and education in Rutland.
Stone Valley Arts
Stone Valley Arts is a 501(c)3 non-profit community arts organization which began in 2013 as a response to community needs as part of the Poultney 2020 revitalization movement. Dedicated residents came together to launch SVA, and in turn received official non-profit status on July 23, 2014.
The purpose of Stone Valley Arts is to provide classes, workshops, presentations, and events in the visual, performing and literary arts for all ages and levels of experience. Our goal is to inspire interest, participation and provide enjoyment, enriching the quality of life in the region by integrating the arts into the fabric of the community.
